The China Port Museum Project consists of two sub-projects, the China Port Museum in Ningbo and the underwater archaeological base in the East China Sea. Rated a national AAA scenic spot, it's the only national museum in Ningbo and the only national-level port museum in China. The China Port Museum is made up of six parts, i.e. the China Port History Hall, Modern Port Knowledge Hall, Port Popular Science Hall, "Digital Ocean" Experience Hall, Historic Relics of Beilun, and "Underwater Archaeology in China". The archaeological base under the East China Sea comprises the exhibition, protection and restoration, collection arrangement and academic exchange modules. Integrating exhibition, education, collection, tourism and academic research all in one, it marks a large-scale themed museum of international standard, professionalism and cultural connotation.
