■ As one of the cities where IC industry has been developed for a long time, Ningbo is gifted with the geographical advantage and economic strength for developing IC industry. Currently a comparatively complete industry chain has been formed in Ningbo including basic semiconductor materials, IC design, fabrication and package test. There are IC companies such as Konfoong Materials, Prema，Sunny Optical Technology, BYD Electronics, Ningbo Kangqiang Electronics, Daily Silver Imp Microelectronics, and Ningbo Dongshun Electronic Technology.

■ As the only IC characteristic town nationwide, Beilun IC Town covers an area of 20 square km and its central area is 6 square km. The two main functions of the IC Town are IC industry fabrication and its matched urban function. We will focus on the base of IC fabrication in Ningbo, IC materials in Ningbo and National Science and Technology Major Project No.2. The estimated output value in 2025 will be over RMB 100 billion Yuan.

■ 19 projects have settled down in Beilun IC Town including Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), Anji microelectronics, Nata Opto-Electronic Material, Accurus Scientific and Iotelligent RFID, covering Chip fabrication, key materials, equipment and design.

■ Beilun IC Town has attracted 40 high-end talents including chinese and foreign academicians.Microelectronics Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Science has started operation in Beilun as well as the private equity fund.

■ The automobile electronics, intelligent household electrical appliance and equipment industry are well developed in Ningbo with many excellent enterprises such as Geely Automobile, Joysun Electronics, Haitian Precision Machinery, Aux Air Conditioner and Truliva Water Dispenser, which provide expansive markets for the development of IC industry.
