Right located in the heart of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Beilun District is also where Ningbo Economic & Technological Development Zone (NETD) is. Beilun District has been known as an important outpost for reform and opening-up in Ningbo City and Zhejiang Province. It is located in the east of Ningbo City with three sides facing the sea, Hangzhou Bay to the north, Xiangshan Port to the south and Zhoushan Islands to the East. The total land area of Beilun is 615 square km and permanent resident population is about 900,000.

After thirty years’ development, Beilun District has become an important opening gateway and base for energy, raw materials and advanced manufacturing in Zhejiang Province and China. Combining three advantages of port, opening-up and industry, Beilun is now ranked top of the first-class areas in China in terms of comprehensive strength.
