Recently, the "EasyGo Navigation" system for external trucks was launched at Suzhou Modern Container Terminal, marking the first deployment of the port navigation system developed by Zhejiang E-Port E-Commerce Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Zhejiang Seaport Group and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group) outside Zhejiang Province.
Since its initial launch in September 2024 at Meishan Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, the "EasyGo Navigation" system has focused on real port operational scenarios, with intelligent truck dispatching at its core. It establishes a closed-loop "vehicle-road-cloud" collaborative management system, enabling precise control over the entire terminal operation process. By June this year, it had achieved full coverage across Ningbo Zhoushan Port’s core container terminals.
The system relies on a tripartite intelligent framework of real-time monitoring, data analysis, and port machinery coordination, effectively addressing the challenge of "mixed operations between autonomous and traditional trucks." It also dynamically plans optimal routes for external trucks within the port area. Through precise dispatching and integration with the port’s production management systems, it significantly reduces waiting times and unnecessary mileage for external trucks.
For example, at Meishan Port Area, after adopting the system, external trucks experienced a more than 10% reduction in deviation rates, a 7% improvement in gate efficiency, and an average two-minute reduction in waiting time per truck to reach designated yard slots. Annually, this saves over 20 million minutes in operational time, greatly enhancing terminal efficiency and injecting strong momentum into port operations.
The successful implementation at Suzhou Modern Container Terminal marks a preliminary breakthrough in the system’s integrated promotion, providing a standardized model for future expansion. "We will continue to refine our solutions for diverse terminal scenarios, offering customized ‘one-port-one-policy’ upgrade services tailored to different port operations. At the same time, we will accelerate cooperation with more out-of-province ports, empowering them with technology and shared expertise to quickly establish mixed truck navigation systems. This will contribute replicable ‘Ningbo Zhoushan Port Solutions’ to global port intelligence efforts," said a representative from E-Port E-Commerce. (Reported by Yan Jianzhong, correspondent Shi Qiqi)
