On the morning of August 13, 2024, Zhejiang Provincial Youth (Children) Table Tennis Tournament started in Beilun Sports Art Center.
The tournament brought together 13 top teams from all over the province, amounting to 680 young athletes competing on the stage. Among them, 8 new stars from the Beilun district are full of dreams and ready to go. In particular, Chen Qiulin and Yao Jing, two young players from Guguohe Foreign Language School, played well in the 24th China Middle School Table Tennis Tournament (Junior Middle School Group) held earlier and won seventh place in the mixed doubles, adding higher expectations to the people in this provincial tournament.
In this tournament, Chen Qiulin will fight in men's singles and doubles events in Group A, aiming to break through and make better achievements in the dual challenges of both individuals and teams. Meanwhile, Yao Jing will take part in women's singles and doubles events in Group B and launch a strong striving for medals.
The tournament includes seven major events: men's team, women's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. It is jointly hosted by the Provincial Sports Bureau and the Provincial Department of Education, and carefully organized by the Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Beilun District. It aims to provide a high-quality platform for young table tennis enthusiasts of different ages and levels to show and communicate, promoting the development of youth sports, and exploring and cultivating more future table tennis stars.
