Recently, the main steel structure of the container washing and repair warehouse in the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Phase III Container Terminal supporting parking lot project (referred to as the "Grey Warehouse Project") has been completed, making it the earliest single structure to complete the main steel structure construction and is about to enter the enclosure installation phase.
The Grey Warehouse Project is the first digital, three-dimensional, and intelligent truck parking lot and yard project in China, located behind the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Phase III Container Terminal, on the site of the Beilun Power Plant's grey warehouse, covering an area of about 315 acres with a total investment of about 3.6 billion yuan. It is an important part of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port National Logistics Hub infrastructure construction project.
The project is divided into two phases, with the first phase involving the construction of a three-dimensional empty container warehouse, a container washing and repair warehouse, and a heavy container handover area.
On the afternoon of December 26th, when reporters visited the construction site of the Grey Warehouse Project, they saw hundreds of workers distributed across different work areas, skillfully welding and fixing steel frame structures. On one side, the container washing and repair warehouse, with its heavy steel structure support columns "standing proudly," began to take shape.
The three-dimensional empty container warehouse in the project adopts the country's first 9+9 double-stacking process. Under the same area, the storage capacity is greatly increased, and after being put into use, it can accommodate more than 25,000 standard containers.
It is understood that there are 3,631 main beams in the three-dimensional empty container warehouse, with each main steel beam weighing between 20 and 50 tons on average. The project team has completed the installation of about 4,000 tons of steel structure and is expected to complete the main steel structure construction before October 2025.
The construction permit for the second phase of the Grey Warehouse Project has been approved, and the project is ready to start. The project includes the country's first three-dimensional truck parking garage and viaduct, among other parts.
It is reported that the construction and operation of the Grey Warehouse Project will play an important role in solving the "trucks surrounding the city" problem. (By Mao Feiying, Yan Jianzhong, and correspondent Yu Chao).
