From October 26 to 27, the highly anticipated 2024 National Gate Summit BOTY World Street Dance Competition Finals took place at Meishan Bay. This STREET great show was not only a showcase of dance skills but also an important bridge for cultural exchange, attracting judges, dancers, and audiences from around the world to witness the unique charm of Street culture.
The competition commenced with the children's solo performances, accompanied by energetic music, setting the stage for the entire event.
In the subsequent categories, such as women's duos and men's solos, the dancers showcased their signature moves: dynamic footwork, headspin, 360-degree flips, and aerial Thomas spins captivated the audience, highlighting the fashion and fervor of Street dance while conveying the passion and vitality of youth, elevating the site atmosphere to a peak.
This final featured an impressive lineup of 22 world-class judges from nine countries, including China, France, Russia, Sweden, Brazil, Thailand and Vietnam. Among them were national team leaders, head coaches and notable judges such as Asian Games and break dance judges of the Olympic Games, ensuring intense competition among top dancers from various nations, delighting the audience.
Since its establishment in 2017, the National Gate Summit International Street Dance Competition has rapidly grown into a leader in the field of domestic street dance with its professional competition organization and rich content services. Its influence crosses national boundaries, covering Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and even Russia. It has been rated as China’s annual influence street competition by the “China Street Festival” for two consecutive years. BOTY (Battle of the Year) is known as the most authoritative and longstanding Street dance competition globally, often referred to as the “Olympics of Street Dance.” The powerful collaboration between the National Gate Summit and BOTY has further elevated the Chinese finals to new heights.
