A few days ago, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the 5th Zhejiang Chorus Festival and other provincial demonstration public cultural activities award list, the original square dance Surging East of Beilun District won the gold medal in 2023 Zhejiang Mass Plaza Dance Competition.

Beilun Square Dance Surging East, with “tidal wave” as the emotional carrier, adopts the combination of virtual and real choreography, and uses gorgeous colored flags as props. The dedicated performance of 40 young male and female dancers shows the youth image of a group of young fighters daring to be the first in the Oriental Dagang, and shows the lofty drive of the masses to compose the new chapter of Chinese-style modernization of Zhejiang and the spiritual style of “being practical, walking in the forefront, standing bravely in the tide”.

The rehearsal of Surging East began in April 2023. Relying on the youth vitality of the actor and the unique vigor of the dance, it also won the honors such as Ningbo Square Dance Exhibition District, County and City Group Gold Award of “Let’s Engage in Art and Welcome the Asian Games”–2023 “One Person, One Art” Cup, Best Style Award of National Fitness Theme Square Dance Performance of 2023 “Dancing in Zhejiang, Welcome the Asian Games”, 2023 National Square Dance Show – National Excellent Square Dance Team of the Square Dance Conference, etc.(Reporter Fan Xiaolei)
