On June 23, good news from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port: as of 18 o'clock on that day, this year’s container throughput has exceeded 20 million standard containers, 15 days ahead of last year to reach “20 million containers”, a record high in the same period.
At the moment of profound changes in the global trade pattern, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's brilliant “mid-term answer” is not easy to come by. The Port accelerates the construction of “intelligence+green” port by continuously smoothing the “big artery” of land-sea two-way logistics, contributing to the construction of a more efficient and smoother global logistics new pattern.
Facing the sea, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port gives full play to the advantages of the hub of the largest port in the world. On the one hand, it has deepened the strategic cooperation with shipping companies and port enterprises, innovatively launched the double-fast logistics mode of “Sea-Rail Express Line+China-Europe Express”, and the “Double Express” logistics channels such as “Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan Port-Dubai” and “Anhui-Ningbo-Europe” have been built with high efficiency; on the other hand, the logistics needs of domestic and foreign customers have been better met through measures such as new shipping lines, optimization of space allocation and intelligent adjustment of empty containers. Since this year, The total number of container routes in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has reached 308. Multiple new routes have been added, including the Gemini Cooperation, and 210 ultra-large container ships of the “20,000 TEU class” have been received, further consolidating its status as an international hub.
Extending inland, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port also moves frequently. Relying on the unique advantages of railway direct access to the three major port areas, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port cooperates closely with the railway department to continuously densify sea-railway intermodal trains, driving the steady increase of business volume. The newly opened “South Jinhua-Wenzhou Port” sea-railway intermodal train and the “Shaoxing Gaobu-Ningbo-Zhoushan Port” COSCO sea transport train provide more efficient and convenient access to the sea for inland foreign trade enterprises. What is more expected is that the Phase I Project of Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port-Suxi Container Handling Station of Jinhua-Ningbo Railway has been completed and accepted, and it is expected that the Port will be opened at the end of the month, which will bring a “new increment” for sea-rail combined transportation.
Addressing challenges and improving efficiency is an important “magic weapon” for Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. For the first time, the single-month workload of unmanned truck collection at Dapukou Container Terminal in Jintang Port Area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port exceeded the standard of 100,000 standard containers. The S-ECP (intelligent remote control and unified dispatching platform system) has successfully integrated over a hundred gantry cranes into the “cloud” for centralized dispatching. The domestic first intelligent inland river container ship “Zhegang Inland River 002(Zhi Yi)” certified by China Classification Society (CCS) has been put into normal operation. The program of “Beidou+AI pilot” launched by Yigangtong has reduced the yaw rate of external truck vehicles in the port area by more than 10% and increased the traffic efficiency at the gate by 7%. In addition, the “Four Harbor Logistics Treasure” application is officially connected to the Ningbo enterprise comprehensive service platform, providing professional global logistics inquiry service for more than 700,000 enterprises.
Green and low-carbon have become the core engine of high-quality development of ports. By the end of May, the annual LNG filling volume of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has exceeded 100,000 cubic meters for the first time, marking a new level of green transformation of ship fuel supply. The wind-solar-storage integrated project of Meishan low-carbon wharf demonstration project of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, the first “green power wharf” in Zhejiang Province, has been fully completed and put into operation. The power supply for Meishan Port has exceeded 26 million kWh, which can meet the energy consumption demand of 50 bridge cranes operating at the “ten million container level” container wharf for half a year. At the same time, Ningbo Ocean-going Pure Electric Marine Ship Research and Application Project is listed in the list of national green low-carbon technology demonstration projects, which can realize zero emission in the whole process of marine transportation.
