The provincial environmental monitoring contest is about to start in 2024. On April 22, the list of winners of 2023 provincial monitoring contest and representatives of the participants in the training of this year’s national contest went to Beilun for exchange and study, visiting Meishan Bay, Ningbo Institute of Oceanology, Ningbo (Beilun) Ecological Civilization Education Museum and other points to understand the construction of ecological civilization of Beilun deeply, by which the experience can be exchanged for making progress.

The exchange group first came to Meishan Bay to investigate the construction of the beautiful Bay. Under the explanation of the staff, the comprehensive management achievements of the sea area of Meishan Bay can be understood, and also the practices and effects of the construction of the beautiful Bay of Meishan Bay can be exchanged and learned. Meishan Bay is one of the first batch of provincial-level beautiful bays, and the first visible “digital management system of marine biodiversity”, “warning platform of ocean ecological intelligence” and “intelligent pioneer application of beautiful bay” have been built, and the marine biodiversity comprehensive observation station can be constructed synchronously, by which the mode of intelligent comprehensive management of the bay can be created in Beilun.

In Ningbo Marine Research Institute, the publicity film of Ningbo Marine Research Institute has been watched firstly by the delegation, and also the construction of biodiversity experience base of practice and innovation base has been visited, and the characteristic display contents such as artificial intelligence marine ecosystem has been understood deeply. The establishment of the practice and innovation base has been affirmed by all of us.

Later, the delegation visited Beilun Branch of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment, and the ecological civilization education hall has been visited successively, also the digital application of Beilun monitoring station has been investigated, and the first district-level and county-level AI intelligent laboratory for water quality monitoring in the whole province has been visited.

In addition, the provincial ecological environment monitoring working meeting was held in the morning of April 23, in which the results of the monitoring contest in 2023 was informed and the award was also given, and the second prize of the group was won by Beilun District Environmental Monitoring Station relying on its excellent technical capability and high-level on-site performance, and the style of "iron army" of Beilun ecological environment monitoring was demonstrated fully on the provincial platform.(Reporter Zhou Jiabei Shu Yizhan, Correspondent Yan Zhuohui)
