On the afternoon of May 9, Chaiqiao Experimental Primary School held the “16th Sun Zhouyueqin Education Scholarship Award Ceremony, attended by Wu Yanfang, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department.

At the ceremony, Sun Zhouyueqin and other attending guests jointly presented awards to excellent teachers and students who have won this education scholarship. Sun Zile, General Manager of Hong Kong Innovative Software Technology Limited, on behalf of the Sun family, first expressed his congratulations to the teachers and students who have won awards, and expressed his ardent expectations to all the teachers and students. The award-winning student representatives expressed their gratitude to Sun Zhouyueqin for her love for her hometown and for her feelings of nurturing her hometown, and said that all students will study hard to make themselves more excellent and pass on good news to Sun Zhouyueqin.

It is reported that Ms. Sun Zhouyueqin, whose ancestral home is Daqi Sub-district in Beilun District, is currently the chairman of Hong Kong Simatelex Manufactory Company Limited, an honorary citizen of Ningbo and member of the 10th and 11th CPPCC committees in Ningbo City. In 2006, Sun Zhouyueqin was awarded the honorary title of "Model of Loving Township" by the provincial people’s government. She is passionate about public welfare undertakings in her hometown. Since 1993, she and her families have donated to educational and charitable causes in Ningbo and Beilun District many times. According to incomplete statistics, the cumulative amount of charitable donations she has made to her hometown's public welfare undertakings has reached nearly RMB 100 million.

The Sun Zhouyueqin Education Scholarship was established by Sun Zhouyueqin in 2007 with a donation of RMB 1 million, which is used to reward teachers who have both ability and political integrity and students who are excellent in character and learning at Chaiqiao Experimental Primary School, so as to encourage all teachers and students to actively forge ahead, strive to make progress, study hard, win glory for the school, and make contributions to revitalizing the school and serving our motherland.
