Only when the ground color of green development is paved can high-quality development be achieved. The acceleration of green and low-carbon economic and social development is a key link to realizing high-quality development. For a long time, the ships docked at the wharf adopt oil engine to generate electricity to satisfy the electricity demand on the ship, leading to the high cost of burning oil, and the generation of a lot of waste gas and noise in the use process. As the port throughput grows, the problems of low utilization rate of fuel oil power generation and environmental pollution become increasingly prominent. Given this, it is urgent to realize the goal of “zero emission and low noise” for port ships as soon as possible. In this case, the replacement of fuel with green electricity is undoubtedly the best choice.
Over the years, under the guidance of the concept of “clear water and green mountains are golden and silver mountains”, Beilun Port and Shipping Management Center has taken the initiative to drive the construction of shore power facilities in the ports of enterprises under its jurisdiction. At present, 21 port enterprises in the region have completed the transformation and construction of shore power facilities, with 117 sets of supporting shore power facilities, covering 76 docks. The accumulated power consumption of shore power in the whole region has reached more than 3 million kilowatt-hours, and the use of port shore power has increased by 91.7%, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction to achieve significant results. Next, Beilun Port and Shipping Management Center will continue to supervise and urge the enterprises whose shore power facilities failing to satisfy the requirements to complete the upgrading of shore power facilities, striving to realize full coverage of shore power facilities for ports and docks above 1000 tons in the whole region by the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, the construction of low-carbon wharf project also has obtained a major breakthrough. In October of this year, the first megawatt-level “wind-solar storage” integrated energy micro-grid project “Meishan Low-carbon Wharf Demonstration Project for Wind, Solar and Storage Integration” was officially started in Meishan Port Area of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo. The demonstration project will take advantage of the vacant land of the wharf to build 5 wind turbines of 6.25 MW, and build PV power station of about 1.8 MW and supporting energy storage system on the roof of the office building and warehouse. After the completion of the project, the annual clean energy power generation can reach about 59.17 million KWH, which can realize 34.53 million kwh of annual clean power consumption in Meishan Port Area, save about 5.2 million yuan in terms of energy consumption, and reduce about 22,600 tons of carbon dioxide emission, marking a major breakthrough in Beilun District to comprehensively advance the construction of green port.(Reporter Zhou Jiabei correspondents Song Qin Chen Yang)
