Recently, staffs are busy in front of the computer in Ningbo Zhongjia Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. of Ningbo Bonded Area, including checking customs declaration form, filling in declaration materials, etc. As a customs service company covering import declaration, export declaration, bonded business, declaration of certificate of origin and other conventional businesses, Ningbo Zhongjia Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. has realized significant growth in terms of its business volume over the past few months.

“The business volume of our company has realized significant increase recently. For examples, ,there were around 6000 shipments per month before, but around 8000 shipments per month now, in which the order volume has increased by about 15%”, according to General Manager Wang Guojie of Ningbo Zhongjia Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.

According to the statistics of Ningbo Customs, the import and export volume of Beilun District reached 372.31 billion yuan from January to October this year, with an increase of 1.4% compared with the same period of last year (the same below), ranking the first in the city. Among them, exports were 161.91 billion yuan, which increased by 1.9%; and imports were 210.4 billion yuan with the growth of 1%. In particular, automobile exports reached 14.85 billion yuan, showing an increase of 59.8%.

The significant growth of contribution rate of private enterprises was shown. From January to October, the import and export volume of private enterprises in Beilun District reached 223.84 billion yuan, with an increase of 6.6%, accounting for 60.1% of the total import and export value of Beilun District in the same period. Besides, the import and export volume of state-owned enterprises increased by 10.6% in the same period.

Mechanical and electrical products, as well as high-tech products, drive export growth. From January to October, Beilun District exported 82.8 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products and 11 billion yuan of high-tech products, showing a growth of 10.4% and 37% respectively. In addition, the export of plastic products, furniture and parts, toys and other labor-intensive products in Beilun District from January to October all realized growth, with the increase range from 1.8% to 26%.

“As a large industrial and trade area, Beilun accounted for 35% of Ningbo’s total import and export volume in the first 10 months, of which the automobile industry performed excellently, exporting automobiles that reached nearly RMB 15 billion from January to October, with a growth rate of nearly 60%”, according to Li Yao, Deputy Director of the Statistics and Analysis Department of Beilun Customs under Ningbo Customs.
