On the afternoon of December 31, 2022, along with the departure of “MSC SIXIN”, the container throughput of Chuanshan Port Area in 2022 was fixed at 10.88 million TEU, with a year-on-year increase of 0.93% compared with the throughput of 10.87 million TEU last year. By 2022, the container throughput in Chuanshan Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port has exceeded 10 million TEU for seven consecutive years.

Chuanshan Port Area has the second largest single container terminal in the world, and is one of the most frequent berthing docks for super-large container ships in the world, and is also the “strong force” of national ports.

At present, there are 11 container berths in the Chuanshan Port Area, and the container throughput accounts for about one third of the container throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, which plays a pivotal role in the construction of “Belt and Road Initiative”. Since the beginning of this year, facing the impact of frequent outbreaks of epidemic at home and abroad, sustained growth of China's foreign trade and seasonal harsh weather, the maritime department has carried out innovative safety supervision measures to fully ensure the safety and stability of logistics chains, industrial chains and supply chains in Chuanshan Port Area. Relying on Zhejiang maritime intelligent control platform, Shenlan Zhixiang, integrated platform and other systems, to realize the full dynamic mastery of container ship berthing and departure, navigation, etc., and improve safety supervision efficiency by using new means such as remote law enforcement. Take the lead in launching the dynamic linkage law enforcement mechanism of “VTS + coastal patrol vessel” to strengthen the point-to-point reminder of key water areas, so as to ensure the clear environment and smooth and orderly route. Overcome the impact of epidemic and bad weather, ensure the smooth transportation of important people's livelihood supply, support the temporary opening of the container terminal 1# berth in the Chuanshan Port Area, and add new strength to serve the foreign trade of Ningbo.
