Beilun Tourism Realizes a “Good Start”

The reporter learned from Beilun District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau on January 29 that the tourism of Beilun during the Spring Festival holiday ushered in a “good start”, with a total of 254,300 tourists in the whole district, up by 7.59% year on year. The total tourism income was CNY 319 million, up by 8.07% year on year.

The Spring Festival in 2023 was the first Spring Festival after the transition period of epidemic prevention and control. In order to create a feast for citizens and tourists during the Spring Festival with traditional atmosphere and benefiting the public, our district launched a series of activities of “creating atmosphere, gathering popularity and promoting consumption”, “celebrating the Spring Festival in a traditional way” and “travel in the Spring Festival”, as well as creating atmosphere, coupon stimulation of cultural and tourism consumption, and opening scenic spots free of charge. The culture and tourism market of the whole District was rapidly warmed up, and the offline consumption of cross-regional tourism, activities and festivals, going shopping and dining out recovered quickly. The online consumption maintained a vigorous momentum, and people’s willingness and confidence to travel also recovered rapidly. The local culture and tourism market in Beilun and the demand for outbound tourism were greatly increased. Beilun tourism ushered in a “good start”.

During the Spring Festival, Beilun presented a cultural and tourism feast of “warm stay in Beilun to celebrate the Spring Festival” for the general public, including nearly 40 activities to celebrate the Spring Festival with three major themes, that is, “joyousness – celebrating the Spring Festival in scenic spots”, “welfare – cultural and tourism to benefit the people” and “happiness – cultural and tourism integration to send luck”. The activities covered the tourist attractions, tourism enterprises and communities in the area, related to ice and snow, parent-child study, red tourism, coastal tourism, as well as immersive night tours, fashion sports, the national traditions in the Song Dynasty, so as to satisfy diversified consumption and leisure needs.

China Port Museum launched Eternal Life·Exhibition of Royal Cultural Relics in Hebei Province of the Han Dynasty, and the Atlantean Traveler – Artworks of Nouiri Mohammed, and other activities such as lantern riddles, recreation, handwork, sugar pouring, etc., and the Spring Festival social education activity of “Growing Up With China Port Museum”. “Eternal Life” was also selected in the top 10 hot search exhibitions of national museums during the Spring Festival.
