Yangsha Mountain Scenic Area, located in Chunxiao Town, Binhai New City, Beilun District, about 40 km away from the central urban area of Ningbo City and covering an area of about 120 hectares, nestles under a mountain and near a river and has beautiful mountain and sea scenery. It is composed of 4 small islands connected by submerged rocks and provided with characteristic landscape such as red rocks and reefs, mother islands, marine great walls and bright sea beaches. Various rough and special reef gullies spread all over the area. Islands connected to the land are still covered with original vegetation, where dozens of wild bird species such as sea eagles, pheasants, egrets, turtledoves inhabit. Tour items open to the public mainly include artificial beaches, adventure around the island, fitness in the mud flat, foot bath in sea mud and fishing on the sea island.
The mid-autumn tidal bore watching festival is a characteristic activity in which local fishermen celebrate reunion and pray for safety. Yangsha Mountain seashore tourist resort is the nearest scenic spot close to the sea in Ningbo City and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Beilun District and Ningbo City.
