Jiufeng Mountain Tourist Area

Jiufeng Mountain, located on Chuanshan Peninsula, is a mountain at the easternmost end of the mainland in regions south of the Yangtze River, separated from Putuo Mountain by sea. Hangzhou Bay and Xiangshan Port are located respectively on the south and north side. Jiufeng Mountain has 26 peaks, two major lakes and forest covering an area of nearly 10,000 mu (1 mu = 666.6666667 m2). Composed of Wang'ao Scenic Area, Ruiyan Scenic Area and Yanhu Badakeng Scenic Area, etc., it is a mountain climbing base and one of the ten major leisure tourism bases and ecological scenic areas in Ningbo as well as the most beautiful tourist destination in Zhejiang.

Jiufeng Mountain is world-famous for its forest ecology, religious and folk culture, leisure activities and climbing and flower appreciation festivals. It is one of the mountains with the optimal climbing path, the most climbing activities, the most extensive view and the best geographic position for enjoying sunrise and astronomical phenomena. With rolling hills and many lakes, it has an excellent ecological environment. There are forest ecological communities most typical in subtropical zones and secondary evergreen broad leaved forest well preserved in Eastern China as well as abundant animal and plant species including national key protected wild animals rarer than pandas - Zhenhai (Jiufeng) Acanthostega which is the mascot for the home field of Chinese national women's volleyball games.
Ruiyan Scenic Area
Ruiyan Scenic Area, the hometown of Jiufeng Acanthostega - the mascot for the home field of Chinese women's volleyball games, is famous for the primitive ecology and religious culture. With primitive forest covering an area of 9,000 mu (1 mu = 666.6666667 m2) and including natural ecological communities most typical in subtropical zones, it is hailed as the "Xishuangbanna in Eastern Zhejiang".
Rare treasures Jiufeng Acanthostega, called as "living fossils", live in the primitive forest with ancient trees towering to the key and clear streams, having a history of more than 15 million years. It is also known as "small dinosaurs" as it looks exactly like protosuchia dinosaurs. You can visit the "small dinosaur" paleoecological ditch, return to nature, admire the ecological landscape of the primitive forest, explore the secret of preservation of Jiufeng Acanthostega and enjoy the magic of nature.

Wang'ao Scenic Area
The first valley for relaxation in Huaxia, Wang'ao Scenic Area, is surrounded by mountains and tall and straight ridges and peaks. It is deep and serene. There are strong waterfalls and long streams, ancient trees towering to the sky as well as birds' twitter and fragrance of flowers. Flower-filled streams, bizarre rocks, strange pools and plunging waterfalls are honored as "four wonders". Water gurgles in the stream and all flowers strive for elegance. Bizarre rocks differ in thousands of ways and are absolutely lifelike. Strange pools are charming in manner and look just like jade. Waterfalls plunge down very loudly.
Plum blossom, oriental cherry and climbing festivals held here are known to all and crowded with visitors.
